The formula of financial wellbeing is simple: to spend less and to save more. But it is easier said than done. To save the considerable sum, it is necessary not just to do it from time to time, but to change the way of life. We offer you the list of habits which you should get used to if you want to distribute your income intelligently. 
 
1. Write down the expenditure 

Fix the expenses and analyze them. You will definitely see that you spend a part of income on nonsense, without noticing that. It is the very first advice which you will hear from any financial consultant. Accounting of the income and expenses can be conducted in the usual table on the computer, in a paper notebook or in one of special applications (for example, Mint, You Need a Budget or LearnVest). 

 2. Cook at home

Bills for lunches and dinners in cafe are saved very quickly. Therefore the more you cook at home, the better for your budget. Besides homemade food is often more useful, than that given in public catering points.  
During week-end try to make preparations at once for several days ahead so that it was possible to lay them in a container and to take away. 

3. Go shopping with a full stomach 

Before going to a supermarket have a bite. If you are hungry everything (especially fast food) begins to look very attractive, and you start putting everything including absolutely unnecessary things into the trolley. Therefore go to the shop only when you are not hungry. Both your budget, and your waist will be grateful to you for it. 

4. Do the shopping less often

The more seldom you go to shops, the less money you spend. Do you remember the last visit to the shop? Did you buy only those things  which you really needed, or after all spent a little more than planned? Perhaps, you have bought some expensive, but absolutely useless item just because the discount was too good? 
 It happens. In a shop it is difficult to resist the temptation. Therefore try to go there less often. Ideally it is possible to by goods for the month ahead, and then to do the shopping only when you run out of bread or dairy products. But begin with small. Gradually reduce the frequency of shopping  to a minimum. 

 5. Withdraw money only from the ATM of your bank 

Sometimes you are lazy to stand in a line to the ATM. Or the commission for use of the ATM of other bank seems not too big. But such trivial expenses develop in the decent sum. Therefore the easiest way to avoid additional collecting — always to use the ATM on which there is a logo of your bank. 
 6. Stop buying coffee every day 


David Bach in the book "The Millionaire — Automatically" has entered the term "latte factor". His essence is that many spend about $5 in a coffee shop every morning. It is possible to refuse this optional habit and to save about $35, and these are already $140 a month. 

 
Instead of spending days in Starbucks, buy home bank of excellent coffee, even expensive. In the long term this investment will quite pay off, and a drink will bring not less pleasure than in the most fashionable coffee house. 
 We will note that latte factor concerns not only coffee. You can buy the same roll, smuz or sparkling water every day. And if you notice that you tend to  spend thoughtlessly a couple of hundreds of dollars every day, try to save this money. 
 7. Automate the finance 
Today it is possible to pay the majority of bills online, and in many companies an opportunity to make payments automatically is provided. Try to automate the continuous monthly payments, for example for phone and the Internet. First, you won't forget about them and won't be left at midpoint without the Internet, and secondly you won't think of it every month. 
8. Start using cash
Researches show that people spend more when constantly pay off with the card, but not cash. So if you want to bridle the expenses, come back to good old paper money.  The diet "only with cash" is very simple: you get rid of plastic, you define how much money you can spend within a certain period, and you pay for everything only with cash. When the funds end, it is necessary to get by till the next period. 
 Instead of blindly using the card, you will be able to decide every time if it is worth spending money on something or not. Also you will see when notes in a purse reduce and it is worth limiting itself. 
 9. Cancel subscriptions which you don't use for 100%
Refuse all unnecessary subscriptions: magazines, cable, gym. Instead of paying for one hundred channels which you never watch buy episodes of favourite series on iTunes. Pay for a visit to the gym every time you go there. 
10. Discuss the expenditure with the spouse 
You can be very economical, but if your soulmate doesn't support your financial plan, you can hardly expect any success. Therefore you should learn to discuss personal finance, to plan the budget and to control expenses together. 
 11. Don't buy the advertized goods 
Take the most usual better. It is necessary to decide on the priorities. You won't always be able to buy only the best (and the brand is not always a quality indicator). Expensive goods from the famous producers can damage your budget. 
 Itt is possible to save on personal care products, food, house clothes, goods for pets. Think what it is actually important for you and what you are ready to refuse. 
 12. Buy less meat 
The less meat you buy — the smaller check in shop you get. Instead of it try to add vegetables to your favourite dishes — it will turn out tasty. No, we don't urge you to rush to extremes and to turn to strict vegetarianism. If you are a big fan of meat dishes, avoid it at least one day a week. Even such small step will allow you to save. 
 13. Spend one day without expenses 
Try to spend one day a week, without having spent a dollar. It will teach you to treat money more consciously and will help to understand that without monetary expenditure it is possible to feel quite comfortable. Instead of the hammered public transport — walk on foot, instead of a lunch in an expensive cafe — eat a home-made dish.
14. Buy seasonal products 
Often time of purchase is much more important than the place. Seasonal fruit and vegetables are not only cheaper, but also more tasty. For example, in winter cucumbers and tomatoes cost a lot of money, and in summer the price tag becomes far more pleasant. Therefore try to make for yourself the schedule at what time it is worth buying this or that item. 
 15. Refuse fast food
You only harm yourself (and to the purse) if you have constantly a bite in snack bars. As an alternative we advise to begin to cook at home and take away meals. It will turn out not only cheaper, but also  more useful. 
 16. Communicate with people who admire you 
To become the rich, it isn't obligatory to save every cent. There is a better idea: surround yourself with talented people who share your views and inspire you. As they say, two heads are better than one. You will try to keep step with those who surpass you in something, and you will become better. 
 17. Switch-off all electronic gadgets when you don't use them
The family on average owns 24 household appliances and gadgets. You spend electricity when they are simply connected to network (even if you don't use them). The overpayment a year is rather decent. Don't forget to unplug everything.

18. Get rid of unnecessary things 
Do you buy new clothes? Without regret give the old ones to charity or to a garbage can. 
 19. Communicate with neighbors 
Neighbors can become your adherents in questions of economy. Lend things to each other, organize joint purchases. So you not only will be able to save a little money, but also you will adjust relationship. Believe, to live in the house with friendly neighbors is much more pleasant. 
 20. You pay now to save then 
Penny-wise and pound-foolish. In some questions it's harmful to save. For example, you have old, blown by winds windows and therefore in a cold season you get huge bills for central heating. Make a rule not to save on important things.
